Limfjordsmuseet's best museum piece is from 1861. It is 3 feet deep and 4.4 kilometers long and is constructed of 400 men, over a period of almost 5 years. The "object" is of course the unique Frederik VII's Canal. Limfjordsmuseet now offers a unique experience, where you can explore the canal on your own with the museum's boats.

Limfjordsmuseet lender some beautiful boats to have an unique experiences on Frederik VII's Canal. You can borrow a boat from 15 june to 31 august, but can also take place at other times by appointment.

The boats are exact copies of an "Limfjordskåg" that can be found on Limfjordsmuseet. There is room for 5 people in a boat and it is possible to row all the way to the canal house in Lendrup, where you can enjoy your picnic. But if you get tired you can also take a break and take a swim in the fjord, which is always right next to the canal.

Limfjordsmuseet also offers to deliver delicious lunch baskets for the trip. The culinary experiences have to be ordered the day before.

NOTE: It is free to borrow the boats after paying the entrance fee in the museum.
